Good Gracious! GAP on Groupon!

Update: The Groupon site is swamped right now. It’s moving very slowly, and I keep getting error messages. If you can’t get through to buy your Groupon, I recommend that you keep trying, or coming back to it a little while.

I have a wardrobe confession to make.

80% of my clothes are from GAP family stores. (I know, I know… not much brand variety…) While I mostly shop from their outlet stores, I love GAP.

So today is a grand and glorious day for me. :)

I woke up this morning bright and early, and was soon settling in front of the computer to do what I do each day- find the best Groupon deals and share them here.

But much to my surprise, the deals are exactly the same for every city today. The one deal found everywhere: a $50 voucher to GAP for $25.

So here’s the deal with this Groupon that’s available today only- It must be used on a $50 minimum, in-store purchase only. And there’s a limit of one Groupon purchase per account per city. So you are actually able to buy more than one of these Groupons. You just have to visit the pages of other cities to buy multiples. At least that’s what I did to buy… umm… several… of these Groupons this morning. The Groupon can be used at any GAP location nationwide, so I can buy one from the Tulsa page and use it at my local GAP store, even though I live far from Tulsa.

The Groupons expire November 19th, so great timing for Back to School shopping or early Christmas shopping too.

To get your Gap Groupon, visit Groupon, then select any city from the drop-down list of cities at the top of the page. Then click “buy” on the GAP deal and proceed through checkout.

In addition to the GAP voucher, Groupon does have Side Deals to share today. Below are the online, doesn’t-matter-where-you-live deals for today. To get the deals, visit Groupon, sign-in or sign-up, then select the city that’s listing the deal you want from the drop-down list of cities at the top of the Groupon site. Since all of these are online deals, you don’t need to live in the listing city to take advantage of the offer.

Minneapolis/St. Paul (Side Deal)- If you’re a nut and dried fruit snacker, you may want to snag this deal for $25 worth of products from Nutty Guys for $10.

Tampa (Side Deal)- Get $30 worth of custom stationary and gifts from Confections by Shara’s Paperie. You can apply the Groupon toward shipping. You must call Confections to place your order when using the Groupon rather than checking out through their website.

San Fransisco (Side Deal)- LightSource is offering a 20″x30″ fine art print of a digital image today for $25. Shipping and tax are included.

Deal Still Available From Yesterday:

Orange County (Side Deal)- This is a neat idea if you have pictures you want to preserve digitally. For $75, ScanMyPhotos.com will send you a pre-paid box that holds about 2,000. You can fill the box with the pictures you want scanned, and follow the instructions to ensure they’re scanned in an order that works for you. You’ll send the box back to ScanMyPhotos.com, and they’ll scan and convert all your pictures to digital .jpeg files, and send you a DVD of the photos to boot. This service usually cost nearly $200, so today’s Groupon deal offers you a savings of 62%.

If you aren’t interested in any of these deals, you can sign up for daily email alerts of the local deals for your Groupon city.
